Maximillian Fleur was born into a small yet happy family. But life has a way of surprising us, and happiness doesn't last forever. When Max was just six years old, his mother passed away due to health issues, leaving him and his father together. Max always knew that his father had a mysterious job, as he would often come home covered in blood. One fateful day, Max's father arrived home heavily injured, and unfortunately, closed his eyes forever. Max was just 12 years old when he lost everything that mattered to him.

After losing his family, Max was sent to an orphanage, only to soon after be adopted by a man named Balor. Balor had a reputation for his shady dealings and was known as the "devil's scientist." Max was initially fooled by Balor's false smiles, thinking he had found a new home. However, he quickly realized that his journey had only just begun, and he was now facing a whole new world of darkness and evil. As Max stepped into Balor's mansion, he encountered Balor's 6 year old daughter, Beatrice. She looked almost soulless and hollow, despite her fancy dresses. Max realized that he couldn't trust Balor, and was shocked by the state of Beatrice. Even at the age of 12, he could tell that something was deeply wrong. Max knew he needed to escape, but until he could, he decided to protect Beatrice and treat her like a sibling. Beatrice, who was usually distant and unresponsive, only spoke and reacted to Max, and their bond quickly grew into a caring sibling relationship
‘’If you take a life, do you know what you'll give?’’
Max quickly came to understand why Balor was known as the Devil's Scientist. Balor was involved in sinister dealings and was attempting to create an ultimate life form by combining dark arts and science. Balor had no humanity and was pure evil. Max later discovered that Balor had killed his own wife in the pursuit of his mission, and was already using Beatrice as a test subject, which explained her hollow state. Beatrice was nothing more than a tool for Balor, destined to inherit his legacy. Max also found himself being used as a test subject by Balor, with the duty to protect Beatrice at all costs. Max had always had an affinity for science and a sharp mind, and he believed the wisdom he learned in Balor's mansion would serve him well. However, the experiments he underwent were relentless and showed no mercy. While he initially thought the nightmares would end, they only continued without respite. In the end, Max was transformed into a powerful ultimate life form, much like Beatrice. He gained superhuman strength, resistance to poison, and healing abilities that allowed wounds to close in an instant. With these newfound powers, Max was ready to serve Balor as an assassin, working alongside Beatrice.
“Grave digger, grave digger, bring me to my knee, forget what I have done, forgive me if you please, save me if you can…’’
Despite his plans to escape from Balor, Max knew he had to continue serving as an assassin and keep his intentions hidden, lest Balor punish him or even turn him into a mindless weapon. Max quickly became known as an accomplished assassin, and Beatrice was referred to as the 'bird of prey.' Both of them efficiently carried out their missions, and Max detached himself emotionally during each assignment, even though every bullet he fired brought him pain and distress. After gathering enough knowledge and experience to survive on his own, Max decided to leave the demonic world at the age of 34. He had planned to escape with Beatrice, but she had become brainwashed by Balor and adamantly refused to leave. The pair had a fierce argument, but in the end, Max reluctantly left Beatrice behind. He knew that he couldn't change her mind alone, and so he reluctantly parted ways with her for the time being.

Balor never pursued Max, as he was not a priority when Balor still had Beatrice under his control. For six years, Max started fresh and built a new life for himself. With the knowledge he gained in Balor's mansion, he became a scientist focused on reversing human experiments and developing essential medicines. He formed a close bond with his colleague, Layla, and kept his past hidden to start anew. For once, life seemed to be treating Max well. He found love, success, and a peaceful existence, reminiscent of his parents' relationship. Max's relationship with Layla blossomed and culminated in a proposal. They moved in together and built a life filled with promise.

One day, his sister Beatrice, accompanied by her partner, unexpectedly appeared on Max's doorstep. Beatrice had finally realized her mistakes. She sought forgiveness from Max, admitting that she couldn't continue being a monster any longer. Max generously offered her a partnership in his labs, and with this newfound alliance, Beatrice now joined Max in their mission to undo their father's dark deeds. Max's life began to unravel as Balor came after their laboratories in search of Beatrice. Max, without Beatrice's knowledge, struck a deal with Balor to protect her, agreeing to provide information from their research in exchange. This arrangement seemed to work for a while, but now Max found himself pulled back into the very world he had sought to escape. For the sake of his sister, he reluctantly made deals within the same dark world he had initially fled from. Max became consumed by his work, often toiling overtime to fulfill his obligations to Balor. One fateful day while he was away, his beloved Layla, who was battling her own inner demons, tragically ended her own life. Max was once again struck by the cruel hand of fate, losing everything he held dear for the second time in his life.

It took a long time for Max to find some semblance of recovery. He sought refuge in his work, playing drums at dive bars and drowning his sorrows in alcohol. In the dark of night, he aimlessly wandered the streets like a shadow, concealing his pain and anger from the world. Despite his inner turmoil, he put on a cheerful facade, and to the outside world, he appeared to be the loving, social, and energetic Maximillian that everyone knew. His true emotions remained hidden behind his smile and strong exterior. Max had settled into a routine, excelling as a brilliant scientist during the day and secretly working with Balor on the side. Despite being surrounded by people, he felt alone and longed for a peaceful life. Over the years, he attempted relationships only to face more disappointment. However, when he encountered this little woman who resembled a stray cat in the stillness of the night, Max's natural instinct to offer help kicked in. As he listened to her struggles and observations about the world, he was struck by how similar she was to Layla. This fragile yet strong woman reminded him of the love he had lost.

Max, haunted by nightmares and wary of losing someone again, kept his distance from that woman named Aybüke. The uncanny resemblance she shared with Layla made him uneasy, and yet, fate had an unusual way of working. Their paths intersected once more when Max and Aybüke became entangled with Balor's henchmen. Initially, they formed a friendship, but as Max got to know Aybüke not as a facsimile of Layla but as herself, his feelings deepened. In no time at all, Max found himself hopelessly in love with this little stray called Aybüke. After enduring the emotional strain of Max's constant push and pull, Aybüke finally issued an ultimatum, demanding that they commit to a clear-cut relationship. Despite the challenges, their bond grew stronger as Max opened up about his past, including his dealings with Balor. In a world full of chaos and uncertainty, Aybüke became the sole person Max could truly confide in. While they each faced their own personal growth paths, the threat of Balor loomed over them. For Max, this new relationship marked the start of both new beginnings and lingering nightmares, but there was a glimmer of hope on the horizon.
